East Gippsland Water’s Managing Director, Bruce Hammond, said, “Once again it’s great to see how well informed our younger residents are about the importance of water and using it efficiently. We received more than 330 posters this year and the students’ solid understanding of water issues is reflected in the excellent standard of entries.”

This week and next we are presenting the competition winners and their schools with their prizes, with each participant also receiving a certificate.

In addition, the winning posters are on display at our Bairnsdale office, 133 Macleod Street, and on our website.

Targeted at primary school students, the poster competition is coordinated each year by VicWater – the peak body for water businesses in Victoria – to raise awareness of water as our most precious resource.
