Still time to have your say and go in the draw to win $100 off your water bill

East Gippsland Water

There is still time for East Gippsland Water customers to have their say about the future direction of the organisation’s services and go in the draw to win $100 off their water bill.

Simply complete the latest Have Your Say survey. This can be done online by going to East Gippsland Water’s Facebook page or visiting the website egwater.vic.gov.au.

Alternatively, copies of the survey are available from the organisation’s Bairnsdale office, at 133 Macleod Street.

Participants can choose to be entered in a free prize draw, with the chance to win one of five prizes of $100 credited to their East Gippsland Water account.

Managing Director of East Gippsland Water, Bruce Hammond, said, “Every five years, like now, we have to develop a long-term plan (our Price Submission) that determines how much money we invest in various activities. This cost is passed through to customers in their quarterly bill.

“More than 1,000 people have already completed our surveys over the past ten months, which is invaluable in helping us shape our future plans and the way we will set prices for our services over the period 2018-23.

“The information we have been gathering will assist us in delivering projects and services customers have identified as important across the region. Projects such as water education and information programs, improving services and installing drinking fountains for example.

“All these initiatives come at a cost, so during this latest round of community engagement we are surveying customers to determine their preparedness to pay to have their suggestions implemented.

“Thank you to everyone who has participated so far, including all the neighbourhood and community houses that have been helping us with this important community engagement process.”

Surveys must be submitted and received by East Gippsland Water by 11.59pm, Sunday 9 April 2017, with the prize draw winners to be drawn on Wednesday 19 April.
