Water main upgrade for Tamhaven Drive, Swan Reach

East Gippsland Water

On-site work has just got underway on an East Gippsland Water project to replace a water main between Mossiface Road and Tamhaven Drive in Swan Reach.

Local households stand to benefit, with the work helping to boost the reliability of the Swan Reach water supply network well into the future. This project will also ensure East Gippsland Water has easy access to the water main for any maintenance and repairs.

Replacement of the water main will take approximately four weeks to complete. Some temporary traffic, parking and water supply management measures may be necessary. Affected residents in the immediate area have been contacted and will continue to be updated as the water main replacement project progresses.

East Gippsland Water’s Managing Director, Bruce Hammond, said, “This project will bring long term benefits for customers. Every effort will be made to minimise any inconvenience to residents and motorists while the main replacement work is underway and we would like to thank everyone for their patience and cooperation.”

The project is part of a $12 million program of investment in capital projects that the corporation is committed to for the current financial year across East Gippsland Water’s towns.
