East Gippsland Water’s annual public board meeting next Tuesday (20 September) offers a great opportunity to find out how the corporation is leading the Victorian water industry when it comes to generating renewable energy from sewage sludge and local food waste.
This is just one of a number of exciting projects East Gippsland Water has underway around the region that will also be covered at the meeting. There will be the opportunity to find out more about how the corporation operates, what services it provides and its priorities for water and sewerage services. East Gippsland Water’s Customer Committee will present on their role helping to strengthen the corporation’s quality of engagement with customers on important water and wastewater issues.
Attending will be East Gippsland Water’s board directors and executive staff including Chairperson, Joanne Booth and Managing Director, Bruce Hammond. There will also be the opportunity for general discussion.
Whether a customer or not, you are invited to attend the meeting at the Bairnsdale campus of Federation Training (in Main Street, opposite the police station), starting at 10.30am and lasting about an hour.
Free morning tea will be provided. There is no need to reserve a spot. Simply turn up on the day.
