National Water Week 2025

East Gippsland Water

Calling all kinder, early learning, prep, primary school students and teachers!

We are excited to invite you to participate in the 2025 National Water Week poster competition that is open to all kindergarten, early learning, preparatory and primary school students.

Students are encouraged to get creative and design a poster reflecting this year’s theme ‘Water for all, Inspiring Action.’ exploring the importance of water and how everyone has a part to play in saving water and being more water efficient now and into the future.

Last year, we received over 287 fantastic entries from 14 schools and centres. Let’s aim for even more this year!

Who can enter?

Entries are open from kindergarten through to Grade 6 in the following categories:

  • Kindergarten/Early Learning (individual and collaborative entries accepted)
  • Prep/Foundation (individual entries only)
  • Grade 1-2 (individual entries only)
  • Grade 3-4 (individual entries only)
  • Grade 5-6 (individual entries only).

Prizes

There are some great prizes up for grabs in each category and all participating schools will be entered into a random draw to win $500 towards a school project.

How to enter

Online portal instructions will be sent to you at the start of Term 3, where you will receive your login details and information on how to upload your poster entries.

Key dates

Entries close at 5pm on Friday, 6 September 2024 with the winners announced during National Water Week, 21-27 October 2025.

First prize winners from each category will also be entered into the State level competition and last year East Gippsland had three out of the five regional winners claiming wins in the State-wide competition, a fantastic result!
