East Gippsland Water reappoints Stantec to deliver engineering services

East Gippsland Water has reappointed Stantec (formerly MWH Global) to provide the bulk of its engineering services.

The new performance-based agreement commenced on 1 July and will run for three years, with a possible two year extension.

Stantec boasts world-wide expertise in the water and wastewater industry and significant experience serving water corporations in Victoria and Australia-wide.

The company is operating locally out of East Gippsland Water’s head office in Bairnsdale and has been involved in a number of key projects across the region since 2013. These include pipeline replacement programs and upgrades to various treatment plants and water storages, such as progressing a $13 million program of improvements to the Wy Yung water storage facility near Bairnsdale.

East Gippsland Water’s Managing Director, Bruce Hammond said, “Reappointing Stantec reflects our ongoing commitment to ensuring that we continue to offer best value services to customers, within very tight economic parameters.  Stantec has demonstrated that they can deliver.”
