Environmental grants closing soon

Local educational and not-for-profit groups are reminded that East Gippsland Water’s latest round of Native Vegetation and Habitat Creation grants is closing soon.

New and existing projects that have a focus on native vegetation planting and habitat creation are eligible, with applications closing Friday, 30th September.

David Radford, East Gippsland Water’s Executive Manager Customers, Community & Communications, said, “We have funded over 25 projects across East Gippsland, including Raymond Island, Swifts Creek, Toorloo Arm, Buchan, and Marlo, over the past four years.

“We’re pleased to offer these grants, which form part of our ongoing commitment to enhance the liveability and improve the resilience of our vibrant region.”

Applications need to be submitted by 4 pm, on Friday, 30 September 2022, with successful grant recipients announced in East Gippsland Water’s In the Flow page in the Bairnsdale Advertiser, Lakes Post, and Snowy River Mail, as well as on the organisation’s website.
