The sewer mains in Orbost are the latest to be targeted with a comprehensive maintenance program by East Gippsland Water – designed to improve the performance and reliability of the town’s sewerage system.
Over the next three months the corporation will be conducting essential manhole inspections and the routine cleaning of sewer mains connected to properties in Orbost, east of Nicholson Street.
In some instances access will be required to a customer’s property to inspect a manhole. Such inspections will only be carried out on a weekday between 8am and 4pm. The customer’s presence at home is NOT required and a card will be left afterwards to confirm East Gippsland Water visited.
East Gippsland Water apologises for any inconvenience this important work may cause and thanks customers for their co-operation.
