In this month’s Talking Water podcast, our host Damian Pratt talks with David Radford, our General Manager Customer, Community & Communications about the many things we’re doing to continually improve our services for customers.

Some recent customer initiatives, include refreshing our Bairnsdale Customer Service Centre to make it more modern, accessible and functional. The refreshed Centre, due to launch in June 2026, will include a dedicated room in the reception area for meeting with customers to discuss more complex enquiries, such as property connections, plumbing enquiries and billing arrangements.

We are also in the process of developing a modern new website, to be launched later in 2026, built around direct customer feedback to ensure site visitors can find what they need, quickly and easily.

Our team has also been seeking customer consultation around two major plans that will shape local water services for decades to come: the 2028 Price Submission and the 2027 Urban Water Strategy. Along with inviting customers to participate in a quick online survey, the EGW team is out and about attending East Gippsland markets, events, Neighbourhood Houses and Customer Connect sessions at regional hubs, inviting customers to provide input that will be used to shape future water projects and services for the next 50 years. This community presence also provides opportunities for customers to meet the EGW team, ask questions and learn about the full range of EGW services, including bill-support options, rebate programs, water-saving tips, and much more.
