In this episode of Talking Water, host Damian Pratt talks with David Radford, General Manager of Customer, Community and Communications at East Gippsland Water about the water body’s Customer Advisory Committee.
The Customer Advisory Committee plays an important role in advising the Board of East Gippsland Water and has been instrumental in helping to shape the organisation’s service delivery, infrastructure investments, pricing, customer support programs and more.
In this podcast, Mr Radford explains that the Committee’s input ensures East Gippsland Water is delivering what matters most to customers, in a fair and affordable way. He says the Committee was instrumental in shaping two of East Gippsland Water’s most important customer support programs — Billing Assistance Measures and the Water Efficiency Rebate Program.
The Customer Advisory Committee is a volunteer position, and East Gippsland Water is looking for a diverse mix of people — different ages, backgrounds, and experiences, residential or business. You don’t need to be an expert in water — just someone who’s passionate about their community and wants to make a difference.
East Gippsland Water covers any reasonable out-of-pocket expenses members incur as part of their participation.
If becoming a member of the Customer Advisory Committee is of interest to you, there’s more information available at East Gippsland Water’s website egwater.vic.gov.au, including an application form, or call East Gippsland Water during office hours on 1800 671 841. Listen to the podcast now.
